8th Grade Night – Mon Mar 4th (this evening!)

Team Awards Banquet

• Tues Mar 5th, 6:30p-(8:30p)
• Pietros Pizza, Milwaukie, at the north end.
• I will bring team and season pics on the 2 DVD set. $5 a set. Let me know well in advance if you want a set (so I will have time to burn them). I will bring a few to 8th Grade Night as well if for some reason you can attend that but not our Banquet. If you can’t make the Banquet, and would like a set, let me know and we can arrange somehow for you to get a hold of it.

Awesome job at Districts to our swimmers! Lot’s of PRs! And, once again, 1st year swimmers made Top 12 at Districts in their first year! (Janiece Cappoen, Saphya Lones and then Sela Raisl as a 1st alternate)
No State Qualifiers this year. Super close though for our girls 200 Free Relay! Here is the link to the State Prelims Qualifications site as entered.
Team Awards Banquet TBA (likely the 2nd or 3rd week after Districts, pending on how long it takes to compile all the info).
There will be an 8th Grade Night coming up too, beginning of March. I encourage as many swimmers to show up and support our team to encourage new recruits for next year. They won’t know swim team exists if we don’t show ’em!

When the school is closed, we can’t have official practice :/ So no practice today Tues Feb 5 either. Some people have 24 Hour Fitness Membership and are getting in the water on their own. If you have a vehicle that’s safe, not a bad idea! 24 Hour Fitness also does like 3 day or a week free trouts too that you might be able to take advantage of… If you do, grab a Workout on the Practices page.. use any of the final practices that would be labeled Tapering (with a -T in the title some of them).
